🎨 Brand & Logo. 📝

Ideation & Concept

When we set out to create our logo we decided to create it as an art piece, to reflect our focus as a company. We started with the idea of using some of the environment art from an early prototype, originally pitched as a contender for our first project.

After taking some test shots of the scene we decided that the chosen level wasn't fit for purpose. But we liked the concept of using a piece of environment art as the foundation of our branding, so instead we opted to create a new scene from scratch.

First Draft/Sketches

We always intended to use 3D art as part of the process, to get a better idea of what we wanted to create, we made some 2D concepts for the layout.

Pictured below is the initial sketch and first draft for the logo.

Second Draft/First Renders

We then recreated the scene in 3D, changing the focal point from a sphere to an artefact made from pyramids, adding an alter and adjusting the layout.

Pictured below are the renders we created as part of the development.

2D Illustration & Final Version

Once we were happy with the lighting and layout we recreated it in 2D, removed the linework to create a negative-space effect and changed the colour of the centre piece.

Below are the different 2D drafts we created, as well as the final version (centre image).

Design & Meaning

The six pillars represent our six core values.

Honesty, Creativity, Quality, Integrity, Innovation & Community.

The artefact represents the three core components of our brand.

The largest pyramid represents creativity, the biggest part of who we are.

The centrepiece represents community, the heart of what we do.

The smaller pyramid represent technology, the foundation of our industry.

Vision Statement.

Our products provide value through a unique design approach tailored towards user experience & strong quality assurance testing.

In an industry that refuses to respect its bottom line, a well made product cuts through the market.

Through this approach, we are creating a strong brand that can be trusted to deliver quality products. We take pride in our work and it’s important to us that we create products that provide value to both the customer and the industry.
